MAJ John Brown

John Brown is a Major in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Law where he teaches International Law (LW 481).  Before joining the faculty, he served as a legal officer in a number of positions, advising commanders on various matters from criminal to operational law, and also served as the Training Officer for new legal officers joining the British Army.  Prior to commissioning, Major Brown was a criminal law practitioner and earned a MA in International Relations from the University of St Andrews, Scotland, and a LLB Law and Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
