Lieutenant Colonel Kurt Sanger, U.S. Marine Corps, has been assigned to U.S. Cyber Command since 2017. He served first as the Chief Judge Advocate for Plans, Policy, Partnerships, and Legislative Affairs, then as the Chief Judge Advocate for National Security Law, and now is the Command’s Deputy Staff Judge Advocate. From 2014 to 2017, Lieutenant Colonel Sanger served as the Staff Judge Advocate for U.S. Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command. He also has served as a military justice defense counsel and prosecutor, Legal Advisor to the Afghan National Army General Staff, Operations and International Law Instructor at Marine Corps University, and as a planning officer with U.S. Central Command. Lieutenant Colonel Sanger earned a degree in National Security Law from Georgetown University in 2015.
