Oleksii Kaminetskyi is Acting Chief of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. He is personally responsible for the legal support of all Ukrainian Ministry of Defense activities, including but not limited to advising on international, administrative, and criminal law issues.
Before serving as Acting Chief, Mr. Kaminetskyi worked in the Legal Department for more than 15 years. His responsibilities focused primarily on legal aspects of military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the protection of military members’ rights and associated litigation.
Oleksii Kaminetskyi holds a Master’s degree in Governance and Master’s degree in Law.
