MAJ Justin M. MacDonald

Major Justin M. MacDonald is an active duty Army judge advocate currently assigned as an Associate Professor of National Security Law at The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School in Charlottesville, Virginia. He previously served as the Chief of National Security Law for U.S. Forces Afghanistan in Kabul and the Defense Security Cooperation Management Office – Afghanistan in Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. Major MacDonald also served as a command legal advisor to multiple special operations units, including during a deployment to Entebbe, Uganda. Other assignments include military prosecutor and defense counsel, administrative law attorney, and legal assistance attorney.

Major MacDonald holds a LL.M. from The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School, a J.D. from The Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, and a B.A. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
