Christopher Malis is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army and serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Law, the National Security Law Course Director, and the Executive Officer for the Lieber Institute for Law and Warfare. Prior to becoming an assistant professor, LTC Malis served as a Judge Advocate in a number of positions focused on national security law and administrative law. In his last assignment he was the Brigade Judge Advocate for the 4th Security Force Assistance Brigade. Previous assignments include Chief, Administrative Law, 21st Theater Sustainment Command; Deputy Group Judge Advocate, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne); Chief, Military Justice, United States Army Special Forces Command (Airborne); and Senior Trial Counsel at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
