Major Joey Sepulvado serves as the Chief of Operational Law Branch in the National Security Law Division, Office of The Judge Advocate General, Army Pentagon. Major Sepulvado previously served as a Field Artillery officer before attending law school under the Funded Legal Education Program. His Judge Advocate career has spanned the military legal disciplines but focused mainly on directly advising commanders and staff from battalion- to corps-levels, both in garrison and deployed environments. Previous assignments include Deputy Legal Advisor, NATO Allied Rapid Reaction Corps, Imjin Barracks, United Kingdom; Chief, Military Justice, Fort Huachuca, AZ; Battalion Judge Advocate and Forward Legal Advisor, 10th Special Forces Group, Fort Carson, CO and Stuttgart, Germany; Brigade Judge Advocate, 20th Engineer Brigade, and Administrative and Operational Law Attorney, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, NC; Fire Support Officer and Assistant Effects Coordinator, 2d Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment, Fort Riley, KS and Baghdad, Iraq.

Major Sepulvado holds a Master of Laws from The Judge Advocate General’s School, a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor of Arts from Kansas State University.
