Omar Yousef Shehabi is an Acting Assistant Professor at NYU School of Law and a JSD candidate at Yale Law School. He served in various roles with the United Nations between 2015-2023, including as a legal officer (international law) with UNRWA, the UN agency for Palestine refugees, and as a legal officer with the UN Secretariat, Office of Administration of Justice. He also served as a legal adviser to the Palestinian negotiating team during the 2013-14 Palestinian-Israeli permanent-status negotiations.
