CPT Peter S. Konchak
Captain Peter S. Konchak is a Judge Advocate in the United States Army currently assigned to the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate for III Armored Corps and Fort Cavazos. In that capacity, he has helped advise commanders on operational law issues, including those relating to the law of armed conflict and the rules of engagement, during III Armored Corps field exercises.
Captain Konchak has authored multiple articles on matters of national security law and policy, and has given presentations on those issues at several academic conferences. His academic work has addressed the application of the laws of war to complex interstate hostilities, legal and strategic issues in modern great power conflict and competition, and the contribution of States’ industrial and technology policies to their military power and diplomatic influence.
Captain Konchak holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Temple University Fox School of Business, and a Juris Doctor from Temple University Beasley School of Law (magna cum laude). While at Temple Law, he was an Editor of the Temple International and Comparative Law Journal and a Law and Public Policy Scholar. He was the Distinguished Graduate of the 219th Judge Advocate Officer Basic Course and is a member of the Washington, D.C. Bar.
