Thea Charlotte Andersen
Thea Charlotte Andersen is a Norwegian military officer and U.S.-trained lawyer, specializing in international legal constraints on State and non-State actors before, during and after armed conflicts.
She graduated with a J.D. with a concentration in International and Comparative Law from George Washington University Law School. After completing law school in 2022, she worked as a judicial law clerk at the D.C. Superior Court and as an IHL Fellow with the American Red Cross. Most recently, she has collaborated with the Global Accountability Network and the Ukrainian Bar Association to produce a two-volume white paper on legal pathways to accountability for Russian wartime destruction of the environment in Ukraine.
Before attending law school, Thea served for a decade in the Royal Norwegian Air Force as an NCO and officer. Her international operations include The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) and Operation Inherent Resolve.
