Larissa van den Herik is Professor of Public International Law at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies at Leiden University. She is General Editor of the Cambridge Studies in International and Comparative Law. She is also a member of the National Group and in that capacity a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration.
Her areas of research and expertise include international peace and security law, sanctions and terrorism, international criminal law, and fact-finding in international law. Her current research focuses on diasporas, nationals abroad and international law, as well as human geopolitics.
