MAJ Joshua Dimkoff
Major Joshua Dimkoff serves as an Assistant Professor and Executive Officer in the Department of Law, where he teaches military justice, as well as military and constitutional law. Major Dimkoff earned a B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2005, double majoring in Political Science and History, a J.D. from Ave Maria School of Law in 2008, and an L.L.M. in Administrative Law at the Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School.
Major Dimkoff joined the 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart as a Legal Assistance Attorney, before deploying to Camp Ramadi, Iraq as an Operational Law Attorney with the 4th Brigade Combat Team. Upon redeployment, Major Dimkoff served as a dual-hatted Trial Counsel and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia. Major Dimkoff then served as the 8th Army Chief of Client Legal Services in Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea. Thereafter, he served as a Trial Counsel and then Senior Trial Counsel with 1st Theater Sustainment Command both at Fort Bragg (Liberty) and at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, prosecuting courts-martial while deployed and in garrison. MAJ Dimkoff then served as the Command Judge Advocate for 18th Medical Command at Fort Shafter, Hawaii, while also resolving medical claims at Tripler Army Medical Center. Major Dimkoff then returned to the Republic of Korea to serve as the Brigade Judge Advocate for the Sustainment Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division in Camp Carroll. Thereafter, Major Dimkoff deployed again to serve as the Senior Defense Counsel for the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility. Major Dimkoff later served as the Chief of Military Justice for the 7th Army Training Command in Grafenwoehr, Germany.
