Ruben SP Valfredo
Ruben SP Valfredo is a legal researcher and a former lecturer at the School of Law, University of Juba in South Sudan. He holds a Master of Laws Degree in Public International Law from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Laws Degree (Honours) from the University of Khartoum in the Sudan.
He taught International Humanitarian Law (IHL) at the University of Juba School of Law, and facilitated the internal rounds of the School’s IHL Moot Court Competition, thereafter, coached and mentored the School’s team which participated in the All-Africa IHL Moot Court Competition. He was also engaged by the International Committee of the Red Cross Delegation in South Sudan, as an independent consultant for the collection and study of the national practice of IHL in South Sudan. In addition, he also attended and participated in trainings and conferences for lecturers and researchers of IHL held in the East African region. His research interests are in Public International Law and IHL areas contextualized on South Sudan.
