Sarah Fuhrman is a Technical Advisor on Principled Humanitarian Access for the UN World Food Programme (WFP). She has more than a decade of experience in humanitarian action and humanitarian law, including on-the-ground experience in countries including Afghanistan, DRC, Iraq, and South Sudan.

Before joining WFP, Sarah worked for InterAction, as their Director of Humanitarian Policy and was an adjunct lecturer for Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. She has also held postings with CARE USA and USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Affairs (BHA).

Sarah holds a J.D. from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School and an LL.M. from the University College of London.
