Daniela Suárez Vargas holds a PhD in Law from Queen’s University Belfast, where she was PhD scholar of the AHRC Northern Bridge Consortium. Daniela holds an LLM from Queen’s University Belfast and is a qualified lawyer from Universidad del Rosario in Colombia. Her PhD project examined the impact of victimhood narratives on the recognition of sexual and reproductive violence experienced by female fighters within Colombian transitional justice. Daniela’s research work focuses on transitional justice, international criminal law, human rights law, victimology, international humanitarian law, and sexual and gender-based violence in Colombia.
