MAJ Alexander Hernandez
Major Alex Hernandez is an active-duty Army judge advocate and a military professor assigned to the Stockton Center for International Law in Newport, Rhode Island, where he co-teaches a course on the Law of Armed Conflict at the U.S. Naval War College. Alex has previously served as a command legal advisor to conventional and special operations units, an operational law trainer at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center, and a military prosecutor. He has deployed to Afghanistan and Djibouti in support of combat operations.
He holds an LL.M. in Military Law from the Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School in Charlottesville, VA; a J.D. from Rutgers Law School in Newark, NJ; an M.A. in Defense and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, RI; and a B.S. from Fordham University in Bronx, NY.
