Lieutenant Colonel Sean P. Mahoney is an active duty Army judge advocate, currently assigned as a U.S. Army Exchange Officer to the United Kingdom Army Headquarters as the lead for Operational Law Policy, Doctrine, and Interoperability in Andover, United Kingdom.

Prior to working with the UK Army he served in a number of positions focused on national security and criminal law.  His previous assignments include: Deputy Chief of National Security Law, U.S. Army Pacific; Special Victim Prosecutor for Korea and Japan; Officer-in-Charge, Camp Humphreys Legal Center (Korea); Brigade Judge Advocate, 2d Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3d Infantry Division; Senior Trial Counsel, 8th Theater Sustainment Command; and Operations Officer and Legal Advisor, Combined Joint Interagency Task Force 435 (Afghanistan).

Sean holds an LL.M. in Military Law from the Judge Advocate General’s School, a Juris Doctorate from The Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America, and a B.A. in Political Science from The University of Arizona.
