Dr Hyunjung Park is a Research Fellow for the Beyond Compliance Consortium in the Centre for Applied Human Rights at the University of York. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2024. Her primary research interests include civil wars, rebel governance, and post-conflict peacebuilding. Her work explores how various forms of rebel governance affect the sustainability of peace after conflict. She uses a range of methods, including cross-national statistical analysis and in-depth case studies, to investigate these issues. Her research has been published in International Studies Quarterly.
