Amy McCarthy

Amy McCarthy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Law, where she teaches Civil Rights Law (LW461) and Constitutional & Military Law (LW403). She is a former active duty Army Judge Advocate whose previous positions include Legal Assistance Attorney, Military Prosecutor, Administrative Law Attorney, Chief of Claims, and Part-time Military Magistrate. From 2009-2010 she deployed with the 82nd Sustainment Brigade to Bagram, Afghanistan. Her academic interests include gender issues in the military and the law of armed conflict
