LTG Charles N. Pede is the 40th Judge Advocate General of the United States Army, assuming the position in 2017. General Pede has extensive operational experience, having served in Somalia, Afghanistan, and Iraq. General Pede has also served as the Commander, United States Army Legal Services Agency, and Chief Judge, United States Army Court of Criminal Appeals, as well as Commander, The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School, in Charlottesville, Virginia.
