Major Matt Montazzoli is an active duty Army judge advocate, currently attending the Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

His most recent position was as the Regimental Judge Advocate for the Army’s 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Benning, Georgia, including 16 months forward deployed as the legal advisor for a special operations joint task force. He commissioned as a cavalry officer and served with the 82d Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, including two deployments to Iraq.

Major Montazzoli is married with three daughters. He holds a LL.M from the Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School at Charlottesville, Virginia; a J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law at Boulder, Colorado; and a B.A. from Marymount University at Arlington, Virginia.
