Lt Col Jon Griffiths is a legal officer with the British Army Legal Services. He is currently a legal adviser (operations) in the Office of Legal Affairs at NATO SHAPE. Jon has a PhD from the University of Reading: ‘Urban Warfare and Precautions in Attack: Framing the Art of the Practically Possible.” He has also studied at King’s College London (MA), Cranfield University (MSc) and the University of Wales (LLB). His broader research interests include private military and security companies and the relationship between toxic leadership and criminal misconduct on operations.
