Brigadier General Alison Martin retired after 32 years of service. Her culminating assignment was as the Commander, The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School.

She is a veteran of multiple deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait, serving as a staff judge advocate leading teams of lawyers advising commanders in combat as well as at Fort Liberty and Fort Cavasos.

She served in several different positions at Fort Liberty, Joint Base Lewis-McChord and the Pentagon. She held possessions as a prosecutor, an administrative law attorney, a military justice operations officer, and as an Associate Judge on the Army Court of Criminal Appeals.

Alison began her career as an Air Defense Artillery Officer and served in Saudi Arabia, the Republic Korea, and Fort Bliss, Texas. She also served as a logistics Company Commander and staff officer at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

She is a graduate of the National War College, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, and the Judge Advocate Officer Graduate Course. Her civilian education includes The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law and The Pennsylvania State University.
