Ashley (Ash) Stanley-Ryan is a Judicial Fellow at the International Court of Justice, and a PhD Candidate in the international law department of the Geneva Graduate Institute. His PhD research examines the role of the UN Secretariat in developing international law.
Ash’s professional experience includes roles at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, the ICRC, the UN, the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and a leading international law firm. He holds the diploma of the Hague Academy in public international law.
