Lieutenant-Colonel Gary Pattison is a legal officer in the Office of the Judge Advocate General, Canadian Armed Forces.

He is currently director of the Directorate of International and Operational Law. Past assignments include legal officer on exchange with the Public International Law Bureau of Global Affairs Canada, legal advisor to Canadian Special Operations Forces Command, and legal advisor to Canadian Joint Operations Command. He has deployed to Iraq.

Lieutenant-Colonel Pattison holds a law degree from the University of Ottawa and a master of laws from York University. He lives in Ottawa with his wife and two children.
