Prof Hugo Cahueñas Muñoz
Hugo Cahueñas Muñoz is a Professor of Law at Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador. He earned his PhD (c) in Law from University of Bern. He is a visiting professor at the Diplomatic Academy of Ecuador and at Universidad Andina Simón Bolivar.
In the humanitarian sector, he served as legal advisor for South America for the Disaster Law Programme of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and as the National Coordinator of the Humanitarian Law and Human Rights Programme at the Ecuadorian Red Cross. He has been a consultant for the IFRC, the United Nations, the Inter-American Development Bank, Plan International, CARE, the Ecuadorian Red Cross and the State Prosecutor General Office of Ecuador.
