Joanna Jarose is a PhD candidate and sessional lecturer at the University of Adelaide Law School in South Australia. She has also been a Research Associate for the law school’s Research Unit on Military Law and Ethics since 2021. She has a broad range of research interests in international humanitarian law and adjacent fields, with her PhD project centred on the law of naval warfare.
