The Future of Proxy Warfare

The Modern War Institute at West Point and the Lieber Institute for Law and Land Warfare are honored to host a multi-disciplinary panel on proxy warfare. The panel features: MWI fellow MAJ Alex Deep, who will discuss the operational and tactical implications of proxy actors on the battlefield; army strategist MAJ Matt McDaniel, who will focus on how technological and scientific developments will impact the future of proxy war; and British army officer and attorney MAJ Jenny Maddocks, who will provide insights on how international law can shape future proxy conflict. A period for audience-led discussion and questions will follow their presentations.
