Rob McLaughlin is Professor of International Law at the Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security, Honorary Professor at ANU, and a Senior Fellow at the Stockton Centre for International Law at the US Naval War College. Prior to this he was on the Faculty of the Australian National University College of Law, served as Head of the UNODC Maritime Crime Program, and spent several decades in the Royal Australian Navy as a Seaman officer (Submarines) and as a Legal officer.
